Linda JACOBSON

April 4, 2007

JACOBSON (nee Barber) Linda Gail It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Gail Jacobson on Saturday, March 31, 2007. Linda was born in Regina, SK and had a second home at Regina Beach. She attended school in Regina and later moved to Grand Forks to attend the University of North Dakota. There she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Education majoring in Physical Education. While teaching in Calgary, she married Doran Jacobson in 1963. Her biggest project, besides her children, was being a part of The Best of Bridge. Little did the Ladies know they would impact the cookbook market for over thirty years winning numerous awards and selling millions of books. Linda enjoyed cooking and had many great parties with her close group of friends. She was so kind and will be remembered for sending cards to everyone to wish them well or just because she found "a good one". We will miss her dearly. She is survived by her loving companion Doug Shandro; her three treasured children, Jennifer (Ken) Frame of Red Deer, Nancy (Murray) McLeod and Sara (Rod) Russell both of Calgary. She cherished her four grandchildren, Meghan and Brenan Frame, Katelyn and Paige Russell; as well as her two grand dogs Duncan and Fred who brought her so much laugher and joy. If she didn't have bubbles out for the kids in the summer, she kept the clown sprinkler spinning. She grew up in a loving home and is survived by her mother Irene Barber; her brother Wayne (Lois) Barber and their three children, Rob (Jaida) Barber, Patrick (Jody) Barber and Lorie (Marcello) Ruta. Linda was predeceased by her father Gordon Barber, her uncle Jerry Humphries, and her mother-in-law Lil Flock.
