Linda VAN

VAN RINGEN Linda Louretta van Ringen (Morgan) of Alix passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on August 28, 2005 at the age of 58 years after a courageous battle with cancer. Linda was born in Hardisty Alberta. During her life she pursued many different interests and had opportunity to work at many different jobs. She was a farm wife, bookkeeper, and newspaper publisher/editor of the Chautauqua News. She was very active in the community and was co-ordinator of Neighborhood Place in Alix. She also dedicated 30 years to the Alberta Pony Chuckwagon and Chariot Clubs along with her family. Linda will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her loving husband of 40 years Jake, one son Lee (Rachelle) of Stettler, one daughter Tara Gay (Greg), grandchildren Zander, Nickolas, Jakob, Jonah and Keanu of Ardrie. She is also survived by her parents Bob and Betty Lou Morgan of Salt Spring Island, BC, one sister Holly (Stan) of Kelowna, mother-in-law Elly van Ringen of Ardrie, four sisters-in-law Riena (Glen) Knouse, Bieny Pryor, Joyce (Bill) Friend, Shirley (Val) Senger and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Linda and Jake were also foster parents. She was predeceased by her father-in-law Gerardus van Ringen. Funeral services will be held from St. Andrew’s United Church on Thursday September 1, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation has been entrusted to Central Alberta Crematorium.
