It is with heavy hearts and immense sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Lisa Salamandick on Tuesday November 10, 2009 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital at the age of 45 years. Lisa spent the last 22 years living in Edmonton. She worked at various jobs but found her niche creating Arabian costumes for model horses. She was also an accomplished artist. Lisa was very involved in the Model Horse Association of Alberta. She filled her life with things that she liked doing. Lisa will be lovingly remembered by her devoted mother, Jeanette (Jan) of Red Deer and brother Stephen of Penticton, B.C. She was predeceased by her father Harold in 2006. Lisa will also be missed by her Uncle Ron (Deb) of Olds, Uncle Lawrence (Judy) of Edmonton; Aunts, Joanne of Lacombe, Doreen (Craig) of Bowden as well as numerous cousins, extended family and friends. A Memorial Tea will be held at the Waskasoo Mobile Home Park, Red Deer Sunday, November 29, 2009 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Avenue, Edmonton, AB T6G 1Z2.
