Lloyd MORRISON

November 12, 2004

MORRISON, Lloyd It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Lloyd A. Morrison who died after a courageous battle with cancer at Entwhistle, Alberta on Friday, November 5, 2004 at the age of 63 years. Lloyd will be remembered by his two sons, Donald of Bowling Green, Ohio and David of Bentley. his mother, Molly Smith of Brandon, Manitoba; sister Peggy of Winnipeg, his wife Geraldine (Gerri) of Red Deer. Lloyd loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping and most of all the past 6 years, every summer he loved to be out in the mountains, where he enjoyed trail riding. Lloyd was an untrained talented guitar musician, playing by ear, especially enjoyed it around a campfire. He was a licensed heavy-duty mechanic and a stay at home Dad, where he went into doing leatherwork, making horse bridals and halters, chaps, and saddles. Lloyd was an avid fan of attending auction marts from mainly Rocky to Innisfail buying and selling horses. He never missed his son Donald's hockey practices and games for many years, traveling to California for a hockey tournament, Vancouver four summers in a row, and many towns in Alberta, and David has inherited Lloyd's musical talents. A family gathering will take place at the Hummingbird area in the mountains for the spreading of his ashes in the summer of 2005. Those wishing to make a donation may do so in Lloyd's memory to the Alberta Lung Association, PO Box 4700 Stn. South, Edmonton, AB T6E 5G5. Sympathies in Lloyd's name can be forwarded to the family at www.parklandfuneralhome.com. In living memory of the late Lloyd Morrison, a tree will be planted in the Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium Memorial Tree Park.
