BANNISTER Lorna Bannister (Rowat), beloved wife of Geoff Bannister of Red Deer, Alberta passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at the age of 36 years. Lorna was born on November 28, 1972 at Edmonton, Alberta. She was raised and took her schooling in Red Deer. In 1990, she met Geoff and they were married on February, 14, 1998. She will be remembered for her huge loving heart and her four beautiful girls. She loved gardening, cross stitching and was very dedicated to her job at Co-op garden center. Lorna was a wonderful, caring, loving mother and will be greatly missed by the joys of her life, her amazing husband, Geoff, four beautiful daughters, Miranda, Shaley, Kelsea and McKenzie. She is survived by her parents, Betty Rowat of Penhold, Alberta, Andy Rowat of Red Deer, Alberta, a brother, Scott Rowat of Red Deer, Alberta, grandmother, Shirley Minnifie of Red Deer, Alberta, and a niece as well as numerous, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. A celebration of Lorna's life will be held at the Elks Hall, 6315 Horn Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. A special thanks to all the caring staff at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, (Unit 32) for their dedication to Lorna's care.
