Louis HATALA

HATALA, Louis John May 10, 1918 - Oct 24,2005 It is with deepest sorrow and sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Louis will be fondly remembered by his children; John (Colleen) of Rimbey, Robert (Elaine) of Rimbey, Gerald (Rose) of Cranbrook, Diane (Bill) Simpson of Red Deer, Brian (Jennifer) of Ponoka and Danial (Lisa) of Rimbey. Louis leaves behind 19 grand children and 16 Great Grand children, who were a special part of his life. Louis is survived by his brother Mike, his sister Anne, his three sister in-laws Agnes Hatala Mary Ann Olson, and Marie Olson. Louis was predeceased by his loving wife , Lillian of 62 years (2003), brother Joe and his brothers in-law Gayhart and Richard Olson. Louis was born in Coleman and moved to the Wilmot District in 1930 with his family and married Lillian Olson on July 01,1942. Here they farmed and raised their family of six children. The door was always open, the tea pot ready and everyone was welcomed. Dad's greatest passions always included his family, love of farming, and his Canadian heritage. He was proudly Canadian. Fairness, high moral values and commitment, always characterized his path in life. The family would like to sincerely thank staff of the Rimbey Hospital, Dr. Boorman, Home Care, family and friends for all their kindness and support during this difficult time. A prayer vigil will be held at St. Margaret's Catholic in Rimbey, Alberta on October 31, 2005 at 8:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will also be celebrated at St. Margaret's Catholic Church on November 1, 2005 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in the West Haven Cemetery, Rimbey.
