She worked as a nurse for a short time before she was stricken with Multiple Sclerosis. After a year of rehabilitation and hard work Louise returned to school and studied at the University of Alberta and received a Bachelor of Arts degree. Louise's passion for learning continued as she pursued her Master's degree while working full time for the Government as an Employment and Training Services Sr. Program Planner. Her perseverance and hard work were rewarded when she received her Master's degree from the University of Alberta in 2004.
