Lucy Francis
On Tuesday, January 31, 2017, Lucy Francis James passed away at her home in Red Deer at the age of 90 years old.
She is survived by her children Bill (Sharon), Rick (Helena), Judi, Douglas, Rod (Gina), Gord (Arlene), Randall (Sandy), Dorothy Edmundson, 17 grand-children, and six great-grand-children. She will also be missed by her sister Barb (Dennis) Bolen, sister-in-law Ruth Paetz and brother-in-law Donald McDonald. Lucy was prede-ceased by her first husband Dallas Edmundson, her children Jim Edmundson, Esther James, Guy James, and 10 brothers and sisters.
She worked hard all her life at multiple jobs and was most proud of owning Lucy's Beauty Salon downtown for over 20 years. Then she continued to do hair out of her house for a cup of coffee and a game of cards.
A memorial for Lucy will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017 at St. Mary's Church in Red Deer at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Mary's Church.
