Lydia MOORE

MOORE Lydia Moore passed away peacefully at the Innisfail Health Care Centre on July 21, 2007 at the age of 85 years. Lydia Moore was born on a farm near Burstall, Saskatchewan on January 17, 1922, the fourth child of Gottfried and Christina Ruck. The five children of this family were Louie, Minnie, John, Lydia, and Emma. Lydia moved out to Pine Lake area of Alberta with her family in 1935, where the Ruck family took up farming. On November 5, 1943, Lydia married local rancher, Cecil Moore. Cecil & Lydia raised three children, Charles, Judy, and Bonnie, living and working together for 52 years, until Cecil's passing in April of 1996. Lydia continued to live on the Moore Ranch, farming with her son, until her passing. Lydia was predeceased by her father, Gottfried, her mother, Christina, her brother, Louie, her sisters, Minnie and Emma, and grandson, Bradley Moore in 1980, and her loving husband of 52 years, Cecil, in 1996. Lydia is survived and lovingly remembered by her family: 3 children, Charles (Janice) Moore, Judy (Earl) Dreeshen, and Bonnie (Danny) Langevin, all of the Pine Lake area; 6 grandchildren, Valerie Domoney (Bjarne) of Red Deer, Roselie (Andy) Engman (Pine Lake), Megan (Hanno) Buyks (Innisfail), Devin Dreeshen (Edmonton), Sadie & Lance Langevin (Pine Lake); 7 great - grandchildren, Kyle, Cassie, & Trent Domoney (Red Deer); Lacey Engman (Fort McMurray), Clenton, Mason, & Trevor Engman (Pine Lake); one brother, John Ruck (Calgary), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbours. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Damgaard and the nurses and staff of the Innisfail Health Care Centre for the wonderful care given to Lydia during her brief stay in hospital. If friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Innisfail Health Care Centre Memorial Fund, in memory of Lydia Moore. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 27, 2007 at the Crossroads Ag Park, Pine Lake, with Reverend John McKay officiating. Lunch will be served at the Crossroads Ag Park pavilion following the service. Interment will follow in the Innisfail Cemetary at 2:00 P.M.
