LYON, Mr. Terry Lyon of Red Deer, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at the age of 58 years. Terry was born on June 9, 1947 at Lethbridge, Alberta. He was raised in Barons, Alberta and spent most of his life living in Southern Alberta. Terry loved sports, especially curling and golfing. He managed the Red Deer Curling Rink for several years, and as well he spent some time managing curling rinks on the West Coast of British Columbia. Most of his time was spent at the rink. Terry was a loving and devoted father, grandfather and a true friend. Terry leaves to mourn his loss, his loving children, Renee Lyon (Fred Frank) of Drayton Valley, Simone Lyon of Calgary, Alberta and Nicole Lyon (Trevor Campbell) of Lethbridge, Alberta, his grandchildren, Brody, Brett, Megan, April and Nathan and his stepmother, Gladys Lyon, also of Lethbridge. Terry was predeceased by his parents, LeRoy and Lois Lyon and a sister, Wendy Lyon. A Memorial Service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 4, 324 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, Alberta on Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation entrusted to the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
