HALVERSON, Mabel June
Mabel June Halverson (nee Easterby), wife, mother, grandmother, great-grand-mother, sister, friend, volunteer and quiltmaker, passed away December 16, 2017, with family by her side.
She will be missed beyond words by her husband of 60 years, Ed Halverson, her four daughters, Judy (David), Pam (Brent), Lorna (Greg) and Wanda (Jason) and their families, her brother Rick (Doris), her extended family and her many, many friends. We will miss her gentle wisdom, her quick mind, quirky sense of humour, and her loving friendship. With her patience, grace and endless energy she cared for and nurtured all of us lucky enough to know her.
Rest in peace, ...watch the stars and the clouds....because Mabel will soon be working them into a quilt!
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 27 at 1:00 pm, at St Luke's Anglican Church, 4929 54th Street, Red Deer. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Palliative Care unit 32, care of the Red Deer Regional Health Foundation.
