Mac passed away in Trochu at the age of 82. He was the 2nd child of Lloyd and Annie Roberts. He farmed most of his life on the family farm, later moving and retiring to the Village of Elnora in 2005. Mac's father, Lloyd homesteaded east of Elnora and the family has farmed there for over 100 years and in 2007 received the Alberta Century Award. He was a great supporter of the Elnora Ag Society, 4-H Beef Club, and Curling Club, had a love for steam engines and steam trains, enjoyed gardening and had a passion for roses. Mac was predeceased by his father Lloyd in 1954, mother Annie in 1960, nephew Terry, and grandson Jerry. He is survived by Marilyn, his loving wife of 60 years, son Daryl and wife Jeannette, daughter Lorrie and partner Tim, three grandchildren Joe, Nichole and Brock, sister Dilys and husband Edward (Tim), nephew Barry and Allana, niece Pamela and Warren. He will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by all. A memorial Come and Go Tea will be held January 4, 2012 at the Elnora Hall from 2 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Elnora Ag Society or Elnora Fire Department.
