MACISAAC Mr. Bernard Patrick ‘Bernie’ MacIsaac, beloved husband of Mrs. Fay MacIsaac of Red Deer, passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at the age of 69 years. Bernie was born on August 5, 1935 at Hazel Hill, Nova Scotia. Bernie was a very loving and devoted father who cared very deeply for his family. He especially loved and cherished his grandchildren who meant the world to him. Bernie was a very kind, caring and generous man who had a heart of gold and loved to help others. He and his family moved to Red Deer on August 20, 1973. Bernie worked in the oil industry for forty years. Bernie and his wife, Fay would have celebrated their forty-fourth wedding anniversary on July 22, 2005. He also loved woodworking and was well known for his famous fish chowder and great maritime parties. Bernie leaves to mourn his loss, his loving wife, Fay MacIsaac of Red Deer, his loving children, son, Doug and his children, Chantal and Jason, son, Scott and his wife Natalie and their son, Anthony, daughter, Colleen and her husband, Grant and their children, Rachelle, Jason and Amanda (Matt). He is also survived by his brother, Ernie (Gladys) MacIsaac, his sisters, Margerite (Garnet) Duffy, Carm (Frank) Dolan, Sharon (Ted) Watt and Jane (Wayne) Labelle, sister-in-law, Bea MacIsaac, his special close family friend, Freda Tripanier, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Bernie was predeceased by his daughter, Teresa MacIsaac, his mother, Eva MacIsaac, father, Arthur MacIsaac, his special step-mother, Isabel MacIsaac and brother, Harold MacIsaac. Prayers will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820 – 45 Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 6 McMillan Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta on Monday, July 25, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation will follow at the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta. If desired, Memorial Donations in Bernie’s honour may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 101, 5208 – 53rd Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta, T4N 5K2 or to a Charity of the donor’s choice.
