MACNAUGHTON Mr. Ian Brown Macnaughton passed away peacefully, after his hard fought battle with cancer, on Monday, May 23, 2005 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre surrounded by his loving family at the age of 60 years. Ian was born at Struan, Scotland on July 15, 1944 and he grew up in Montreal before moving to Alberta in 1977. Until his recent illness, Ian worked for 40 years at Dow Chemical (Union Carbide). Ian enjoyed curling, golfing and spending time with his family. Ian will be lovingly remembered by Ann, his devoted wife of 35 years and his three loving children; Scott, Brent and Tara. He will also be sadly missed by his sister Etta (Duncan) Murchison of Scotland and numerous relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Margaret and his father James. Ian will be forever missed and cherished in the hearts of his family. A Celebration of Ian’s life will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Eventide Funeral Chapels, 4820 – 45 Street, Red Deer. Cremation entrusted to the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
