It is with profound sadness that our family announces the passing of our Mom, Grandmother and Great Grandmother and a special friend to many Madeline Alice Veino on July 18, 2019 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital.
Madeline was born in Toronto on January 14, 1930 at the Wellesley Hospital the fifth child of Joseph and Augusta Parke. She worked as a bank teller for many years and she became a member of the Beta Sigma Phi in 1955 in Toronto and continued with the Red Deer Chapter until her passing.
She grew up in the same neighbourhood as Norman Edwin Veino, they married on April 18, 1953. They were married 50 years before his passing on April 3, 2003
Mom loved to knit and sew and she loved crafting and did many years of home craft shows. When she moved to Red Deer she joined the ladies of quilts and cards at the Mount Calvary Lutheran Church where she loved to spend time and was so dearly loved.
Madeline will be reunited with her siblings Isabel Davis, Donald Parke, William Parke & Herbie Parke.
Madeline leaves to mourn her two sons Paul Veino of Calgary, AB, Jeff Veino (Laureen) of Aurora, ON their two children Emma and Sean, daughter Karen Richter (Ron) of Red Deer, AB and their children Cameron, Jonathan, Michael and Sydney, and her very cherished Great Grandchild K'enna.
At Mom's request, there will be no service, she will reunite with Norman with family surrounding her in Toronto, ON.
In lieu of flowers a donation in Madeline's honor may be made to the Canadian Downs Syndrome Society.
