Mae Watson, age 92, long-time resident of Delburne, Alberta passed away peacefully at Sunset Lodge, Innisfail, with family at her side. Mae will be lovingly remembered by: sons Gerry (Wendy), Ken (Ferne), Larry (Judy), Lyle (Bonnie); daughters Betty DeGagne (Jake), Connie Murray (Sheldon), Brenda Preszlak (Terry); brothers Lloyd (Sharon), Albert (Peggy); sister Rose Magee; sister- in-law Irene Duncan; brother-in-law Bob Owen; 15 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and one great great grandchild. She was pre-deceased by her husband Archie, brothers Dick, Sam, Cecil, Lyle, Charles; sister Bernice Owen, brother-in-law Ken Magee, sister-in-law Evelyn Duncan. Folks called her 'Momma Mae' as she mothered many. Her golfing friends called her 'Muskrat Mae', but that is another story. She liked all sports, but football (Calgary Stampeders) and hockey (Calgary Flames) were her big favorites. She was famous for her home-baked buns, and supplied them for many local weddings. The family is very thankful to the staff of Innisfail Sunset Manor for their loving care during her stay there. A memorial service to celebrate Mae's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 5th at Delburne Community Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mae's name, directly to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Alberta Cancer Foundation.
