Manna Grada (nee Kruse) was called home to be with her Lord on October 19, 2009. Manna was a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother as well as a friend. She was born on June 29th , 1917, in Enschede, The Netherlands and emigrated with her husband, Maas and five children to Canada in 1952. In Canada the family was blessed with another five children. Manna will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children; John (Phyllis), Hans (Mary), Berna (Allan) Couper, Ken (Irene), Bert (Joanne), Nico (Joanne), Emmy, Ben (Rene), twenty-five grandchildren, thirty-seven great grandchildren (with one more on the way), one great great grandchild, as well as many other family members in both Canada and in The Netherlands. Manna was predeceased by her husband, Maas in 1996, infant son, Herman in 1961, infant daughter, Grace in 1962, her parents, three sisters and three brothers. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 pm, October 24, 2009 from the First Christian Reformed Church, 16 McVicar Street, Red Deer, Ab., with Pastor Gary Bomhof officiating. Donations in Manna's memory may be made to the Seniors Ministry of the Red Deer First Christian Reformed Church if friends so desire. The family would like to thank, Dr. Thiessen, Dr. Thain, Dr. Elliott, the staff of The Masterpiece Aspen Place, as well as the staff of Unit # 32, Red Deer Regional Hospital for their care given to Mom in her last days.
