DESCHAMPS Marcien (Pete) On June 5, 2009, Marcien (Pete) Deschamps, (born in Conquest, SK. May 31, 1931) passed away at the age of 78 years. Pete will be dearly missed by his wife, Sandra and daughters Cathy (Elden) Herbert, Cheryl (Gord) Armstrong and Deb (Rob Gee) Deschamps. He will also be lovingly remembered by sisters Cyprienne and Jeanette, grandchildren Andrew Herbert, Spencer (Kayla) and Landon (Gemma) Bramall, Tyson (Stephanie) and Kaily (Dustin) Armstrong, Kelby Gee and great-grandchild Holdyn Bramall. Pete and Sandra have lived in the Sylvan Lake area for 40 years. Pete was a hardworking man who took great care in providing for his family and much pride in maintaining the farm. Honest and forthright, he helped others in need in his own quiet, unassuming way. At Pete's request, a private (family) graveside service will be held. Pete's family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Hulyk as well as the staff of the Palliative Care Unit and Unit 22 for their compassionate and dignified care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pete's name to the Palliative Care Unit of the Red Deer Regional Hospital. "To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die..."
