Margaret Agnes Vert of Benalto, age 77, passed away on March 2, 2019, in Sylvan Lake, AB.
Margaret was born on April 30, 1941 in Consort, AB., to James and Mary Knox. She was raised in the Consort and Lousana area. After spending some time in Red Deer, she moved to Benalto in 1970. It was here that she worked as a supervisor for the Benalto landfill and as a bartender and janitor at the Benalto Hotel.
Margaret was a Royal Lady in the Benalto Royal Purple but could also be found in the ball field playing for the Benalto Ladies soft ball team.
Margaret was a fan of the Bluejays and in the summer could be found doing lots of camping and fishing. Margaret is survived by her husband Melvin Vert, children Frank Knox, Mary Stinert, Floyd Duncan, Darcy Duncan, Brenda Larsen, 11 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her parents, her son Gilbert, grandson James, and sister Zenith.
