FORD (Nee Tunney) Margaret Teresa 1919-2008 Margaret, called Peggy by her friends and Gee by her grandchildren, died peacefully early Sunday morning, October 26, in Edmonton at the age of 89. She is survived by her three children, Catherine (Ted Busheikin), Susan (Harry Moffet) and Clinton (Audra Rawlinson) and five grandchildren, Jane Moffet Freeman (Kent), Eamon Moffet (Heather), Kelly Moffet Burima (Joe), Lauren Ford and Alexandra Ford. Margaret is also survived by her much-loved sister, Ann Nutt, and brother, Joseph Tunney. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Robert Evans Ford in 1974; her sister, Mary Lynch and brothers, John and Martin Tunney, all of Ireland. Born in County Mayo, Eire on June 2, 1919, Margaret trained as a nurse in London where she met her future husband, a Canadian airman. They married in 1943. After the war she emigrated to Calgary with her older daughter, Catherine, to be reunited with Bob. The family lived in Calgary where Susan was born, and then in Edmonton, where Clint was born. They moved to Red Deer and after Bob's death, Margaret moved to Sylvan Lake and then to Sherwood Park. Prayers will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at Connelly-McKinley Sherwood Park, Millwoods Funeral Home, 4820 Meridian Street, Edmonton at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Rev. Roger H. Keeler at St. Michael-Resurrection, 10555- 50A Street on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Margaret will be interred next to her husband on Friday in a private ceremony in Red Deer Cemetery. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Margaret's name to St. Joseph's Auxiliary Hospital, 10707-29 Avenue, Edmonton, AB, T6J 6W1.
