MOFFAT

Margaret "Margo"

Margaret Anne Moffat passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2014 at the age of 56 years. Margo was born in Red Deer on October 16th, 1958 to Charles and Catherine Sakofsky. Her parents were very important to her and placed high priority on family. They passed these values onto their children. She was the loving mother of Andrew, Melissa and Caitlin Moffat, the cherished wife of John Moffat and sister to Elizabeth Gerrard, Dave and Robert Sakofsky. Margo was raised in town and graduated from Lindsay Thurber Composite High School. She met her future husband, John at the age of 13 and to be married when she was 18. She was a Girl Guide leader, ultimate dance and hockey Mom and had a passion for travel. She took the family on trips to Banff and Scotland, has explored Alaska and Europe. Of all the things she loved, she loved her family the most. They were her life and Margo cared for them selflessly, putting their needs always before her own. Margo had a way of making everyone feel very special and loved. Friends and relatives of Margo are welcome to attend a celebration of her life at St. Luke's Anglican Church, 4929 - 54 Street, Red Deer, on Thursday, December 11th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. This will be followed by a luncheon held at Poplar Ridge Hall. Anyone wishing to offer charitable donations can please do so to Ruth Sakofsky Memorial Scholarship Fund. Condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.eventidefuneralchapels.com
