September 14, 1922 - September 17, 2018
Margaret Marion Connett born September 17, 1922 in Hanna, Alberta to Harvey and Delphia Howatt, the oldest of six children. Two days shy of her 96th birthday on September 14, 2018 in Red Deer, Alberta, Margaret went to be with her Lord.

She is predeceased by her loving husband Wildred, or "Banjo Bud", 2008, and her first granddaughter, Alaina Margaret Viteychuk, in 1976. Marg's love of playing the piano kept everyone dancing and singing throughout her whole life, and was one of the last things to leave her memory. Bud and Marg played music together for the Golden Music Makers in Red Deer, the Lakelanders in Lloydminister, numerous small bands, and all the seniors' homes in the area.

Margaret loved the Lord, and her family and all her many friends. She was known for her warmth, kindness and grace, and made everyone across all generations feel loved, accepted and welcome in her life. She loved to entertain, putting on huge events. Marg always made extra food on Sundays, "Just in case someone comes by after church".

Margaret was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandma. She was full of fun and a witty gal. She will be forever held close in the hearts of her three children, Donna Weber, Gene Connett and Connie (Darell) Morgan, her brother, Robertson Howatt, 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.

It is with heartfelt thanks to Margaret's close friends and church family for their love and support over the years, and a very special thanks to the staff and volunteers at the Michener Hill Extendicare for their wonderful care.

A service will be held on Wednesday Sept 26, 2018 11 a.m. at the Davenport Church of Christ 68 Donlevy Ave, Red Deer, AB T4R 2Y8. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Alzheimer's Society Alberta, or Namwianga Orphanage Mission in Zambia (which was close to her heart).

Condolences can be left for the family at www.eventidefuernalchapel.com.
