MURDOCH Margaret “Peggy” Murdoch of Sylvan Lake, Ab passed away peacefully at Red Deer Regional Hospital on September 10, 2006 at the age of 83 years. Peggy was predeceased her husband, Doug; her son Gordie as well as all her brothers and sisters. Peggy will be dearly missed by her children Gail (Butch) Hergenhein and Ted (Lisa) Murdoch; her grandchildren Susan (Sid) Bailey, David (Debra) Hergenhein, Sandra Hergenhein (Roger), Bobbi (Greg) Potyok, Angela Murdoch (Cam), Sean Murdoch, Tina Major and Lindsay Murdoch; and her seven great grand- children Alana, and Lea Bailey, Derek and Dean Hergenhein, and James, Carolyn and Steven Potyok. In addition, Peggy will be lovingly remembered by her daughter-in-law Carol (Len) York, and her sister-in-law Peggy (Long Beach) Murdoch as well as numerous other family members and friends. Born in Cardenden, Scotland, Peggy and her family moved to Canada when she was 18 months old, eventually settling in Trail, B.C., where Peggy attended school. It was there that she met and married her beloved Doug, with whom she shared the next 65 years of her life. During the past six years, Peggy resided at the Sylvan Lake Lodge, endearing herself to many staff and residents. She especially enjoyed sharing her computer jokes and emails with anyone who wanted to laugh. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude and thanks to the staff at the Sylvan Lake Lodge for the special care they gave Peggy, Dr. Smith and the Sylvan Lake Medical Clinic, as well as the staff of Unit 33 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. A Memorial Service will be held at the Chapel of the Sylvan Lake Funeral home (5019 47A Ave, Sylvan Lake, AB) on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. A viewing will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the service. Interment will take place at the Mountain View Memorial Gardens, in Calgary, AB, at a later date.
