BROWN Marilyn Brown (nee Bayne) passed away after a struggle with pneumonia, with her family by her side, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at the age of 67 years. Marilyn was born on March 22, 1938 at Ottawa, Ontario. Marilyn worked as a secretary on Parliament Hill in Ottawa for over twenty years. She very much enjoyed her career there working for the members of Parliament. In 1980, she retired and moved to Red Deer, Alberta. Marilyn was a loving and wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a beautiful, kind, caring and gracious lady whose special personality and lovely presence left a lasting impression on those she loved and cared for, and the many people who surrounded her in life. Marilyn adored her grandchildren and loved doting on them. Marilyn will be very sadly missed but lovingly remembered and cherished in the hearts of her family and many friends. “Marilyn is now our Angel, Our Shining Star in the sky The Lord knows it was hard to say – Goodbye” Marilyn leaves to mourn her loss, her loving daughter, Kimberley and her husband, Peter Skuce of Springbrook, Alberta and her cherished grandchildren, Sheldon and newborn granddaughter, Kailey. She will also be very sadly missed by her sisters, Gail Fulford, Charlene (Ivan) Ross and Pat (Tom) Wilson, all of Ottawa, brother, Fred Bayne of Toronto, Ontario, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many longtime friends. Marilyn was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jim Brown. A Memorial Service will be held at the Family Cottage in the Ottawa Valley in the summer of 2006. Cremation entrusted to the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
