1955 - 2014

Marilyn Davis (nee Benesocky) passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Hospice, Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the age of 59 years. Marilyn was born and raised in Saskatchewan on the family farm. She was the middle of seven children. Marilyn was a protector of everyone she loved and a fighter for what was right. She became a social worker and worked in the field of Child Protection Services in Regina, Saskatchewan for ten years before moving to Red Deer, Alberta. Marilyn spent the last ten years fostering three sisters, who she raised as her own. Marilyn will be lovingly remembered by her foster children, Julia, Amanda and Taylee and her siblings, Fran Powers, Roland (Eva) Benesocky, Rodney Benesocky, Sidney Benesocky, Allan Benesocky and Audrey (Jamie) Corosky. Marilyn was predeceased by her father, John Benesocky in 2004 and her mother, Anne Benesocky in 2010. A Celebration of Marilyn's Life will be held at Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 - 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. If desired, Memorial Donations in Marilyn's honor may be made directly to the Red Deer and District S.P.C.A. at
