Marion BEAZLEY

February 10, 2007

BEAZLEY, Marion Anne (nee Fletcher) Aug. 27, 1933 - Feb. 4, 2007 After a long and courageous battle with many interrelated illnesses, Marion, our loving mom and wife, passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Left to mourn are George, her devoted husband of 51 years; her son Bryan (Vicki) and grandchildren Brianne, Brad and Kevin of Portland, OR; her son Scott (Della) and grandchildren Jackson and Hannah of Chicago, IL; her daughter Brenda (Dave) of Kelowna, BC; her brothers Roy and Ross (Linda); and her nephews and their families in Alberta. The best mom (Mumsy) and a wonderful wife, her family was everything to her. Marion's inquisitive, intelligent, outgoing and caring spirit will be missed not only by her loving family, of whom she was so proud of, but by the many friends she touched during her life. Often compared to the "Energizer Bunny", as she kept on going and going and going, even in her last days, she was always more concerned with the welfare of those around her than her own struggles. Marion was born in Red Deer; married in Edmonton; and moved with George and the family to Ottawa, Toronto and Calgary as well as Florida and Arizona as snowbirds before finally landing in the Okanagan Valley in 1991. Our heartfelt thanks to all the compassionate and professional staff at Kelowna General Hospital. Special thanks to Doctors Michieletti, Griswold and Fox. A celebration of Marion's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2007 at the Benvoulin Heritage Church, 2279 Benvoulin Road, Kelowna. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marion's name to the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation, 2268 Pandosy Street, Kelowna, B.C. V1Y 1T2.
