Marion Illa Davies (nee England) of Calgary, AB, passed away on November 12, 2017 at the age of 95 years.

Marion was a partner to Ken, office administrator, homemaker, nurse, and loved being Aunt Marion. She was a strong-willed independent woman with her own opinions and enjoyed good conversation. Marion went back to Mount Royal later in life and received her Nursing Diploma at 50 years old!

Marion loved horses her entire life. She especially enjoyed going to the Stampede grounds every year and sharing the barns and activities with family and friends.

Marion and Ken enjoyed years of attending the Calgary Stampeders games as season ticket holders. Marion and Ken enjoyed travelling - many of their trips taken together with her brother and sister-in-law, Doctor Harold and Joyce England. They really loved Mexico, where they would stay every year for thirty years. Marion enjoyed practicing her Spanish there. They both enjoyed their time with their membership at the Calgary Golf and Country Club and the many people they met and played with over the years. Marion and Ken loved to spend time with their nieces and nephews and there were many adventures, picnics, and great memories for all. Ken and Marion enjoyed dining out and many establishments considered them friends - they were loved by familial, personal, business, and their social communities throughout the city.

Marion is survived by her sister Marjory (Doodie) Boulding of Red Deer, sister-in-law Joyce England of Okotoks, nieces and nephews, Harold (Jeanette) King, T. Murray Wilson, Meryle (Brian) Kester, Gayle (Doug) Parker, Cheryl (Brian) Myers, Devon (Gail) Boulding, Brad (Lillian) Boulding, Gary Boulding, Brenda (former spouse of Kent) Boulding, Myra Starko, Illa (Reinhard) Weber, Connie England, Wendy England; and the children of her very special nieces and nephews. She loved hearing about them and took pride in each one.

Marion was predeceased by her husband A. Kenneth Davies in 2002, brother Dr. Harold England, brother-in-law Charles (Chuck) Boulding, nephew Kent Boulding, and niece Judy Boulding

A Visitation was held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Monday, November 20, 2017.

A private graveside Service will take place at a later date. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
