Marjorie Florence CLUTTON (nee Boyden)


1936 – 2014

Marjorie Florence Clutton (nee Boyden) of Red Deer County, passed away at the Lacombe Hospital on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the age of 78 years. Marjorie was born in 1936 in Trochu, Alberta. She grew up on a farm south east of Lousana, Alberta. Marjorie met her husband Dave in 1953 and they were married in Delburne, Alberta in 1955. She worked as a bank teller in the early years of their marriage but her life “work” became raising their five children, Marilyn, Garry, John, Susan and Dennis. Marjorie also became Dave’s secretary, treasurer and manager in 1968 when he started his own plumbing company. She was a very generous and hard working lady who volunteered her time to Sunnybrook Farms and who or whom needed her help. Marjorie will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 59 years, Dave; sons Gary (Sharon), John (Leroa), Dennis (Debbie); daughters Marilyn (Darrel) McLeod and Susan (Ray) Corkey. Also to cherish Majories memory are 15 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 4 sisters; 1 brother as well as numerous other family members and friends. Marjorie will be truly missed by her family and friends. A Memorial Service to celebrate Marjorie’s life will be held at the Balmoral Bible Chapel, located at the intersection of Highway 11 (55 Street) and Rutherford Drive, Red Deer, Alberta on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m..
