Mark LEBLANC

March 27, 2006

LEBLANC, Mark Vincent LeBlanc, born on the Miramichi in New Brunswick, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, after a brave and arduous five year struggle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s) on Thursday, March 23, 2006, at Bethany Collegeside in Red Deer, at the age of 41. Mark’s love of music, movies, animation and computers led him to a career in retail CD and DVD sales. His district manager role took him across the country where he was instrumental in opening many new outlets including Toronto and Vancouver’s HMV Superstores. His wealth of business-related friendships show that he was well respected and a mentor to many. Mark will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by his parents Vince and Beth LeBlanc, his son Kyle, his partner Bruce Haden, his sister Kathy (Brent) Figol, his brother Greg (Holly) LeBlanc, his nieces Shane, Blake, and Danielle, his nephews Kane and Benjamin, and a host of special friends (including Marvin and Shurakai). Mark was predeceased by his Grand-mother Margaret Fraser. For those wishing to honour Mark with a memorial donation, please send a contribution to Red Deer’s 2006 ALS Walk in care of ALS Walk Coordinator, Phillis Edwards, 5639 55 Ave., Innisfail, Alberta, T4G 1X6.
