Marlene was a devoted artist and had many hobbies that included stained glass, quilting, wine making, painting and card making. Their journeys took them all across Canada more than once, about forty US states and even as far north as Yellowknife. Lee and Marlene went on six cruises, traveled to Europe and twice to China. After selling the motor home they purchased a condo in Penticton and a winter home in Yuma. In total over 20 years was spent wintering in Yuma. Numerous trips were also made to different parts of Mexico.

Marlene was a very kind and generous person. She was involved with TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) for 45 years. She also served in the Board of Cherry Lane Towers until she became too ill to continue.
