MARRIOTT 1930-2008 Mrs. Kathryn Anne Kemp Marriott, beloved wife of Dr. Douglas Marriott of Red Deer, passed away after a long illness at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Center on July 12, 2008, at the age of 77 years. Kathryn was born on November 29, 1930, in Welland, Ontario. She will be remembered for her many years of service within the community and as a French Immersion teacher and librarian in Red Deer. Kathryn is also survived by her children, Anne (David) of Toronto, Ontario, David (Janice) of Leduc, Alberta, and Margaret of Spruce Grove, Alberta. Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren Adam and Claire Wunker, Kathryn, Stephen and Rebecca Guenther, Elizabeth (Brandon) Tanner and great grandchild Alexis Dawn Tanner. Kathryn was predeceased by her sister Margaret and son-in-law Bryce. A Funeral Service for the late Kathryn Marriott will be held at Gaetz Memorial United Church, 4758 Ross Street, Red Deer, Alberta, on Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Aspelund Cemetery, west of Blackfalds on the Aspelund Road on Tuesday July 22, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations in Kathryn's honour may be made directly to the Alberta Cancer Society, 11560 University Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta, T6G 1Z2 or to the Arthritis Society 200, 1301-8 Street SW, Calgary, Alberta, T2R 1B7.
