It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear friend, Marvin Hertzberg of the Arbutus District, Alberta. Marvin passed away on June 12, 2010 at the Peter Lougheed Centre in Calgary, Alberta, at the age of 68 years old. Marvin was born in Shellbrook, Saskatchewan on May 27, 1942. He will be remembered for his passion for hunting and fishing, his love of NASCAR on Sundays and his special holiday ham. He is survived by many loving family members and close friends; his daughter, Tammy Tomm, Kim Corrigan, his brother, Norman (Vera); sister, Karen; dear friends Scott and Barb Varcoe and their children Chad, Charmaine, Chris, Cody and Cass; Charmaine's daughter Mykendra; Chris's daughter Jaylynn. Marin touched many lives throughout his time in the oil and gas industry, his hard work, knowledge and humor will be forever missed by all of the Newcart family. A Celebration of life for the late Marvin Hertzberg will be held at the Chapel of the Rocky Funeral Home on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions maybe made in Marvin's memory to the Charity of the donors choice.
