Mrs. Mary Adeline Husband of Red Deer, Alberta, passed away at the Wetaskiwin Hospital and Care Centre, Wetaskiwin on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at the age of 86 years. Mary was born in Innisfail, Alberta on January 3, 1935. She was raised on the family farm west of Innisfail, in the Gordon District. Mary attended schools in the Gordon District, Little Red Deer, and Red Deer Composite High School. Mary was employed at the Innisfail Hospital, and then married "the love of her life", Henry, and they resided in Red Deer. Mary loved camping, golfing, gardening, and did volunteer work. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her sons, David (Mert), Gordon and Doug (Julie), her grandchildren, Trish, Tom, Crystal (Brent), Sarah and Bria and her great grandchildren, Shanika, Kaylen, Marissia and Dakota. She will also be sadly missed by her brother, Allen (Emily) Mackenzie-Grieve of Blairmore, her sister, Jean Rutschke of Red Deer, her brother, Don Mackenzie-Grieve of Innisfail, her sister, Phyilis (Fletcher) Waldo of Red Deer, her sister, Joyce (Russell) Bowe of Innisfail, her sister, Linda (Lyle Krause) of Dickson, her sister, Sherry (Darrel) Butler of Calgary, her sister, Ruth Cole of Penhold and her brother-in-law, Lynn Averil; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her parents, James and Thelma Mackenzie-Grieve, her loving husband, Henry, a son, Terry, her sisters, Agnes Calkins, Sheila Averill, and Gwen Mackenzie-Grieve, and her brothers-in-law, Stu Calkins and Lawrence Rutschke.
A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at the Alto Reste Cemetery, Red Deer, Alberta.
