Mary LYTLE

March 30, 2009

LYTLE MARY Mary was born August 20th, 1930 in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, to Howard and Wynona Ferguson. Before settling in Calgary to raise her own family, her growing years were spent in each of the provinces from Ontario west to Alberta. She lived for her children and once they were all in school, she helped support them by working in retail until her retirement. After her children were grown she travelled occasionally but when she was at home her helping hands were put to good use in the nursery and youth centre at her church and preparing meals at the Mustard Seed Street Ministry. In 1999 she moved to Red Deer and served on the social committee and plaza committee at Sierra Grande and enjoyed her daily swims and exercise until she was no longer able. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Bill (1990), their oldest son, Hal (1965), her parents and her siblings, Hubert, May, Floyd and Norm. She is survived by her children Dan (Judy) of Red Deer, Jack (Brenda) of Olds and Peggy (Paul) Caron of Grande Prairie and her grandchildren Paul (Anna) and baby Julia of Edmonton, Jim (Nola) and their twins Luke and Molly of Airdrie, Kyle of Olds and Jackie of Olds and her brothers Bill of Saskatoon and Gordon (Marlene) of Calgary and many nieces and nephews. As she slept on March 27, she left this world and cancer behind and woke up breathing freely in the new home prepared for her by her Lord. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service at 1:30 pm, Tuesday, March 31 at Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Burriss officiating. In memory of Mary, donations can be made to the Red Deer Hospice, 99 Arnot Ave, Red Deer, AB, T4R 3S6.
