Mrs. Mary Margaret Eileen Fisk (nee Young), beloved mother and grandmother, slipped away peacefully at the Red Deer Hospice Society on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at the age of 85 years. Mary, the beloved wife of Ray Fisk was raised in Gadsby, Alberta the fourth of six children. She graduated from nursing at the Holy Cross in Calgary. Mary enjoyed hiking, gardening, and later her cherished grand-children. After raising her family, she returned to nursing at the U of A Hospital. Mary will be deeply missed, but lovingly remembered by her three children, Ann Fisk of Red Deer, Bob (Lorraine) Fisk of Edmonton, and Larry (Maureen) Fisk of Pigeon Lake, four grandchildren, Sarah (Cory) Peters and their children Hanna and Grace, Chad, Meagan, and Keltie. Mary is also survived by her two sisters-in-law, Jean Young and Phyllis Parker along with many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her husband Ray, as well as her five siblings. A celebration of Mary's life will be held at ST. LEONARD'S ON-THE-HILL, 4241 44 Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, December 4, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Interment of Mary's cremated remains will be held at Omega Cemetery, Gadsby, Alberta. Donations in Mary's memory may be made directly to the Red Deer Hospice Society, 99 Arnot Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta, T4R 3S6.
