MCKINLEY, MARY JENNIE Mary Jennie McKinley, also known as Joan, of Red Deer, Alberta passed away at the I.C.U. of the Red Deer Regional Hospital on December 19, 2004 at the age of 76 years (5 days short of her upcoming birthday on December 24). Mary and her husband, Jollie, built and operated at least 10 restaurants in Central Alberta since coming to Red Deer in 1965. They just celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on November 28, 2004. On their 50th wedding anniversary they were acknowledged and honoured by Prime Minister, Jean Cretian. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Jollie Harold McKinley of Red Deer, their son, Martin Rean McKinley of Red Deer and their daughter, Cindy Lou Hewson with her husband John of Red Deer. (John was very special to Mary and Jollie and was more like a son). Also, left to mourn the loss of "Nanny" are her beloved triplet grandchildren; Rhett Walters and his partner, Sue of Kelowna, B.C. along with their son Brandon, Christine McWillis and her husband Bryan of Petawawa, Ontario along with their children, Cayj and Tyden, also Teresa Walters and her companion, James of Grand Prairie, Alberta. Mary and Jollie took great pride in helping to raise the triplets from birth. The triplets dearly worshipped their Nanny and Grandpa. They will forever miss their Nanny. Nanny is also survived by Martin's two children in Victoria, Rean Jollie and Elisabeth Jessie and their mother, Brenda McKinley. Mary is also survived by her brother, John Koznuik and his wife Eva of Castlegar, B.C. Mary was predeceased by her mother, Ann Koznuik of Vernon, B.C.. Nanny was the tiniest lady with the biggest heart. She gave so much, to so many, and asked for so little from so few. A Memorial Service will be held at the Red Deer Funeral Home (6150 - 67 Street) on Thursday, December 23, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. Condolences can be emailed to condolences@
