MATHESON Mr. Ian Matheson of Medicine Hat, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Aileen Matheson, was born on December 10th, 1927 in Stettler, Alberta and passed away on Wednesday, August 2nd, 2006 at Medicine Hat at the age of 78 years. Ian leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Jack (Gini) Matheson of Calgary, Robert (Dallas) Matheson of Golden, B.C.; one daughter, Bonnie (Ken) Myers of Medicine Hat, six grandchildren, Dawn, Jason (Jasmine), Colin (Amanda), Scott, Kayla and Makenna; and one great- grandson, Keaton; two brothers, Glen (Betty) and James; and one sister, Helen Stewart; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ian was predeceased by his wife, Aileen; his parents, John and Mary Matheson. Ian was a life member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, Directors Staff of the Al Azhar Shrine, a member of St. Marks Masonic Lodge, Tin Lizzie Corps, Highwood Shrine Club and the Aloha Shrine, Honolulu, Hawaii. He was a past patron of the Eastern Star in Calgary. A Private Family Time of Remembrance will be held.
