Matilda

Matilda Lukat went home to be with her Lord on December 24, 2009. Matilda was born in Hilda, Alberta on April 24, 1918. She spent her childhood in Hilda and then at the age of 19 she met and married Adolf Lukat in 1937. They had their one and only beloved son Gustive Lukat. They moved to Lacombe and onto a homestead in 1940. Matilda became an active part of the community and was well known and loved. Matilda was very dedicated to God, her church and her family. She is survived by her sisters Hilda, Rosalie and Delia, her nephew Ed (his wife Carol), great grand niece Tricia, grandchildren Joanne, Shawn (his wife Laura), Andy, Jason, great grandchildren Guy (Shawna), Lena, Kane, Rebecca and Elijah. She was predeceased by her husband Adolf; her son Gustive; her sisters Ottillia and Emona; brothers Dan and Otto and brother-in-law Charlie. Funeral Services will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 5227 C & E Trail, Lacombe, Alberta on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 2:00pm. A private interment will be held at Alto Reste Cemetery in Red Deer.
