Jan. 5, 1988 – Sept. 28, 2017
Matthew Schropfer left this world surrounded by family, after sever trauma caused by an accidental fall.
Throughout his 29 years Matthew was loved by family and friends and he returned that love many times. He was an avid snow boarder who enjoyed being outside, especially with friends and family. Matthew was a valued Construction Supervisor with Standard West Steel of Red Deer and left his mark on projects through Red Deer and Western Canada. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.
Matthew is survived by his parents Kevin and Leanne Schropfer; two brothers Joseph and Daniel of Red Deer; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. As a lasting gesture, Matthew’s organs were harvested with the hope of helping others.
This young man gave love and was loved.
A celebration of Matthew’s life will be held at the Harvest Centre, Westerner Park, Red Deer on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 2 p.m., reception to follow. Officiated by Rev. Noel Wygeria, St. Luke’s Church.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to your charity of choice on his behalf is requested.
