MATTILA It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Alana Elvera Mattila of Red Deer, on Sunday March 30, 2008 at the age of 55 years. Alana leaves to mourn her son Vaughn, her mother Viola Wells (Mattila), her brother Don and his wife Joan, her niece Melanie, nephew Ryan as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins plus her three favorite cats. She was predeceased by her father and stepfather. A Public Visitation will take place on Friday, April 4, 2008 from 7 - 9 p.m. at Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium , 6287 – 67A Street, Red Deer. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 4730A Ross Street, Red Deer, AB T4N 1X2. An interment shall take place at a later date in the Benalto Cemetery next to her stepfather.
