BRASSARD Maurice Arthur 1919- 2009 It is with deep sadness to announce the peaceful passing of Maurice Brassard at the age of 90 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Gloria Hayward of Bonnyville, & Jan Brassard of Red Deer; sons Mervin of Fort McMurray and Gary of Lacombe, 13 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister Clara, & brothers George and Bud; and many nieces and nephews. Maurice will be remembered fondly by his special friends from the Lacombe area, as well as two special ladies Mignon Hammond and Evelyn McMillian. Maurice was predeceased by his parents Henri and Lucienne, sister Janette, brothers Leo, Romeo, Rollie, his wife Esther (1991), son Don (1998), special friend Chris Millions (1999) and daughter in law Muriel Bourne in 2008. Maurice had a zest for life that included a career in mechanics, "Mr. Fix It," a hobby building wooden lawn furniture (that many family friends are still enjoying). But his real passion was the outdoors that led him fishing, camping and especially golfing with his buddies. He had a great love for animals both domestic and wild.
