Maurice MALONE

MALONE, Maurice Charles "Bud" Malone passed away peacefully on October 14, 2005 at the Lacombe Community Health Care Centre, at the age of 89 years. Born, July 8, 1916 in Fort Francis, Ontario, he received his degree in Medicine from the University of Manitoba in 1942. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy and served overseas until the war ended. He moved to Lacombe, AB in 1946 and practiced family medicine there until his retirement in 1980. Predeceased by his brother Paul, and sister Margaret, and his infant granddaughter Lindy, he is survived by: his loving wife of 56 years, Joan of Lacombe; son, Peter (Bernice) of Lacombe; son Brian (Debbie) and children Jessie and Kate of Cochrane; daughter Maury (Bill) Hill and children, Patrick and Adam of Winnipeg; daughter Janet (Jack) Hawkings and children, Amy and Mark of Bentley, and son Paul (Patti) and children, Scott and Emily, of Red Deer. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. from St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 5128-53 Street, Lacombe. His family would like to express its appreciation for the hours of respite care provided by Lacombe FCSS, and for the attention provided by the staff of the Lacombe Community Health Care Centre and the Red Deer Regional Hospital. Special thanks are extended to Dr. Bill Young for his support.
