McBAIN - Mavis Nov. 26, 1940 - June 19, 2006 Mavis passed away on June 19 at 8:35 a.m. at the Red Deer Regional Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. As Mavis wished, she was surrounded by her family. She will be sadly missed by her longtime companion Allan Gefle along with her children and grandchildren: her daughters Tammy (Wes) of Sylvan Lake, Tina of Vancouver, BC, Terry (Darryl) of Eckville, Mona (Peter) of Sylvan Lake, Ronda (Dave) of Sylvan Lake; son Darcy (Yvonne) of Leslieville, daughter-in-law Deb (Mike) of Drayton Valley; 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; and one sister Gloria in Calgary, as well as numerous other family and friends. Mavis was predeceased by one son, Kim Quinn, in 1989. A family graveside will be held at the Bradshaw Cemetery. A Memorial Tea will be held at the Eckville Community Centre on Thursday, June 22, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. All of Mavis's family and friends are welcome.
