MCKEAN, 1930 - 2006 Mr. John David "Jack" McKean, beloved husband of Mrs. Vi McKean of Penhold, Alberta, passed away surrounded by his loving family at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at the age of 76 years. Jack was born on September 3, 1930 at Miniota, Manitoba. He was the owner and operator of McKean's Moving and Storage for twenty - five years. Jack was also a long standing member of the Moose Lodge of Red Deer. Jack will be very sadly missed but lovingly remembered and forever cherished in the hearts of his family and dear friends. Jack leaves to mourn his loss, his loving wife of fifty - four years, Vi and his son, George McKean, both of Penhold, his daughters, Carol McKinley of Red Deer and Brenda (Larry) Hills of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He will also be sadly missed by three brothers and their wives and one sister - in - law, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Jack was predeceased by his parents, Dave and Ruth McKean, a son, Robbie and a brother, Glen. A Public Celebration of Jack's Life will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820 - 45th Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Monday, September 18, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation entrusted to the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta. Interment will follow at the Alto - Reste Cemetery, Red Deer, Alberta.
