McLELLAN Mr. Don McLellan passed away suddenly while working near Grande Prairie on Thursday, March 10, 2005, at the age of 73. Born November 9, 1931, at Red Deer, Don spent his life at Shady Nook, Penhold and Red Deer. Left to mourn his loss is his companion, Elaine Eadie of Red Deer. He is also survived by two sons, Brian (Donna) of Ft. St. John, BC., Doug (Judy) of Red Deer, their mother Doris, four grandchildren, Crystal and Natasha (Mike) of Ft. St. John, BC;. Charles and Franklin of Red Deer as well as two great -granddaughters, Paris-Baillie and Tayla-Marie of Ft. St. John. Don is also survived by his half brother, Bud Mayhew (Fran) of Ottawa, sisters Una Roberge (Wilf) of Lloydminster, SK., Irene Parker (Gordon) of Vancouver, BC., and brother John McLellan (Jonelle) of Red Deer, an aunt, Chris Mayhew of Shady Nook, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Florence and Angus McLellan. Don worked at Intercontinental Packers and drove city bus in Red Deer. He made a career of trucking. He enjoyed animals and was well known by farmers in the area where he hauled livestock. The last 20 years were spent hauling water. He took pride in driving a clean, well maintained truck and passed his appreciation of machinery and equipment to his sons. A family interment will be held followed by a memorial tea from 2-4 at the Red Deer Legion 2810-Bremner Ave., March 24, 2005.
