MCMANN, 1929 - 2006 Mrs. Rita Pauline McMann of Eckville, Alberta, passed away after a brief illness at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Thursday, September 21, 2006 at the age of 77 years. Rita was born on June 8, 1929 at Calgary, Alberta. She was a wonderful, loving, kind and very special lady who loved her family with all her heart. Her family made Rita very proud; they were her life, her greatest joy and she adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Rita's life was lived on the farm until moving into Eckville in 2004. She loved people of all ages. Rita loved her many friends and especially enjoyed socializing with them and also liked playing cards. Rita will be very sadly missed but lovingly remembered and forever cherished in the hearts of her family and many dear friends. Rita leaves to mourn her loss, her sons, Colin (Debra) McMann of Calgary, Alberta, Brian (Dixie) McMann, daughter, Darlene (Ed) Rein and son, Laverne (Charlene) McMann, all of Eckville, Alberta, ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She will also be sadly missed by her two brothers, Gordon (Norma) Wilson of Cremona, Alberta, Harold Wilson of Olds, Alberta and sister, Hazel Hogg of Didsbury, Alberta, as well as numerous other family members. Rita was predeceased by her husband, Lorne in 1992, a daughter, Sharon Carpenter in 2001 and a son-in-law, Ormand Carpenter in May 2005. All are welcome to join the family and pay their respects at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820 - 45th Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Monday evening between the hours of 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. A Public Funeral Service will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel, Red Deer, Alberta on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Alto-Reste Cemetery, Red Deer, Alberta, where Rita will be lovingly laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Lorne.
