MCPHEE Sept. 19, 1921 - Mar. 11, 2009 Gordon Alex McPhee passed peacefully with his wife and daughter at his side on March 11, 2009 at the age of 87 in Drumheller, Alberta. Gordon was born in Taber and joined the Army in 1941 serving in the Postal Corps a start to his Postal career. In 1956 Gordon was promoted to the Post Master and moved his family to Drumheller where he retired in 1981. Gordon was active in various organizations and groups especially the Jay Cees. First and foremost Gordon was a family man with the love for gardening and bird watching. He also enjoyed building bird houses. Gordon is survived by Fryda his loving wife of 63 years, daughter Carol McPhee, grandson's Allyn and Larry Storms, Jeremy Weber, sister Lorna Seafoot of Shanavon, Saskatchewan and great grandson Justice Storms. Gordon was predeceased by his parent's Mabel and Alex McPhee, brother Donald McPhee sister Dora Turnball and daughter Patricia Storms. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday March 21,st 2009 at the Knox United Church195-3rd Avenue. East Drumheller. Jan Richardson officiating.
