Mel Ball

May 30, 1943 - June 22, 2019
Mel was born in Yorkton, SK, he passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on June 22, 2019 at the Red Deer Hospice.
Mel is survived by his wife, Victoria, son Carl (Shannon), son Graeme (Jennifer), grandsons Liam, Nolan, Quinn and 1 granddaughter Siena. His sister Elaine (Jim) and many other relatives.
Mel enjoyed life fully, always with a giant smile on his face and humour in his heart. He loved his guitar, his motorcycle, tai chi, travelling all over the world, camping, genealogy, hanging with the back ally boys and most of all, his family. He was a Kinsman for 30 years and a scout leader for 11 years. He had a very successful career in the business sector working for many amazing companies along the way.
A service, followed by an Irish wake will be held August 17, 2019 @ 1:30 pm at the Elks Lodge on Taylor and Horn Street.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made directly to the Red Deer Hospice in Mel's memory. The final 5 weeks at the hospice gave him dignity, hope, and felt like an early heaven, we can not thank them enough.
