Mrs. Melba (Toupie) Marie Goodacre, age 95, passed away June 1, 2025 at Harmony Cottage in Red Deer, Alberta.
Toupie was born on November 20, 1929 in Red Deer to parents Lazarus and Borghild Telning. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Arthur Goodacre and sisters Shirley Robinson and Jean Telning.
Toupie is survived by her children: Patricia Conner and her husband Michael of Calgary, Andrew Goodacre and his wife Carol of Red Deer, and Jill Goodacre of Victoria. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Justin, his wife Angela and great granddaughter Olivia Conner of Coquitlam; Kaisha Scofield, and her husband Brent, and great granddaughter Amelia and great grandson Felix Scofield of Victoria; Jessica Wilson and her husband Ryan of Red Deer and great granddaughters Abigail and Isabel Wilson of Red Deer, Jonathan Goodacre and his wife Alexandra Goodacre of Calgary, William Goodacre and Jana Scavarelli of Red Deer.
Toupie was a long-time resident of Sylvan Lake living in the village of Birchcliff. She enjoyed the lake and the wildlife that frequented her property. She was also an avid fan of winter sports and of hockey in particular.
