Mel passed away peacefully at his home in Ponoka on Saturday, February 23, 2019
Mel will be remembered by his wife Judy Fenwick; and his children Howard; Lynn (Michael); Darcy L'Hirondelle, Bonnie St. Dennis, Joe Pollock, Donald Fenwick, Connie Chorney, 16 grand-children and 8 great grand-children. Surviving siblings Harvey (Joan) Skaar, and Lance (Darlene) Skaar, close friends Don Giles, and Kim L'Hirondelle.
Mel was predeceased by first wife, Agnes Skaar, son Michael L'Hirondelle, his parents and siblings.
Mel will be remembered for his love and promotion of music and the artists, we will always keep his spot front and center in our hearts. Grumpa we will always remember your favorite line "if you find yourself having fun, stop." A drop in jam session and celebration of life will be held at Ponoka Legion Centre on Friday March 1, 2019 from 1:00pm-4:00pm
